Class Announcements
Tennis shoes
As the weather gets warmer, please make sure that your child wears tennis shoes for P. E. class.  No sandals, flip flops, boots or open toe shoes are allowed in class.  Please make sure you check the classroom calendar for what day is P.E. class. 
Field Day 2010-11
Our annual Field Day will be June 13 and the rain date will be June 14.  It is a day to have fun after the SOL's.  We will need volunteers for the activities.  More information to come in May.

Walk to school mornings
Please come join us on April 1st and April 15 for our walk to school mornings.  We will meet on the corners of Ketterman Drive and Kerrydale Road, also on Hendricks Drive and Kerrydale Road.  It is a great way to start the day.  
Recess Routine
The first part of recess will be structured to help our students be able to do well on the wellness tests.  Kindergarten will jog half of one lap and walk half of one lap, do five push-ups, do five curl-ups and stretch.  First grade will jog half of one lap and walk half of one lap, do five push-ups, do five curl-ups and stretch.  Second grade will jog half of one lap and walk half of one lap, do five push-ups, do five curl-ups and stretch.  Third grade will jog two laps, do ten push-ups, do ten curl-ups, and stretch.  Fourth grade will jog two laps, do ten push-ups, do ten curl-ups, and stretch.  Fifth grade will jog two laps, do ten push-ups, do ten curl-ups and stretch.  If the students can not be outside for recess, then the activities will be done inside.
